Meditation is to “stop doing something” - to take activity away. Meditation is a practice for the mind. A practice to quieten busy thoughts and distractions. Yoga is a meditation of the body. It is the physical practice that allows our body to be stable enough to meditate.
“At the end of the day, I can end up just totally wacky, because I've made mountains out of molehills. With meditation, I can keep them as molehills.” ~Ringo Starr
The most common thing that we here as yoga teachers is that meditation is "too hard", "I haven't got enough time" or "it's not for me". We understand that it can be challenging and confronting but it can also be a powerful tool on and off the yoga mat. Meridian Meditations are quick and simple, yet connect with our Qi or life-force to help take a quick moment to calm our thoughts and strengthen our mind-body connections.
In this course you will learn:
Meditations to help balance the different Qi Meridians of the body
To understand that whilst meditation is not on everyones radar, it can be taught in yoga in a dynamic form
