Cupping is a traditional and ancient therapy that uses a vacuum effect to promoted blood and energy circulation. It can assist in relieving congestion in areas of stagnation that has been used in TCM and Oriental Therapies for thousands of years.
In this course, you will learn how to safely use traditional glass or modern no-flame cups when dealing with muscular tension, pain, cold and flu symptoms, as well as clearing energy in the meridians of the body whilst complying with infection prevention and control policies and procedures in a clinical setting.
Cupping may raise tiny blood spots in problematic areas and have little of no effect to areas healthy and balanced. It is this spotting or petechiae that is called ‘sha’ and the raising of ‘sha’ through cupping that encourages blood circulation, dispersing stagnation and relieving muscular tension and pain.
